CJP, during hearing of a case pertaining to Katas Raj temple, said it did not matter what was being said about the parliament by others, the SC believes parliament is a supreme institution. Reiterating that such statements cannot be given against the parliament, Asif said Imran was a member of the Parliament yet he used derogatory terms to define it. “Parliament is not government, it is an institution,” he said. Speaking on Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rasheed’s resignation, Asif pointed out that the resignation had not been officially submitted yet.
