Before the House went into session, the business advisory committee of parliament sat in a meeting to fix the duration and businesses of the session, reports UNB. It was decided in the meeting that the budget session will continue till July 11. On May 13, President Abdul Hamid summoned the third session (Budget, 2019) of the 11th Parliament, exercising the power bestowed upon him as per Article 72 (1) of the constitution. Last year on June 7, former finance minister AMA Muhith placed a Tk464,573-crore budget for the outgoing 2018-19 fiscal.
