The Budget and Appropriations Committee published a notice on Friday, March 13, calling on the public and stakeholders to submit memoranda on Supplementary Estimates No. The mini-budget, presented to the National Assembly by National Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi on March 3, sits on top of the Ksh4.2 trillion budget Parliament approved in June 2025. TreasuryThe supplementary estimates have, however, raised a constitutional flag. The Ministry of Defence is the single largest beneficiary in the ministerial allocations, receiving an additional Ksh24.4 billion on top of its already-approved Ksh202.3 billion budget for the year. The State Department for Cooperatives has been given Ksh2 billion to manage a milk glut and stabilise raw milk prices.
