Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson thinks expanding the play-offs will make for an even tighter Championship next season. Parkinson – whose side are the Championship play-off positions – insisted his focus is still on the current campaign as they bid for a fourth successive promotion. The format will copy that of the National League where there is a greater advantage for the sides who finish higher. There have also been calls to shake up the promotion system for the National League to add an extra automatic spot. "I think it's going to be a hard thing to vote through because the League Two teams are going to have to agree to it.
