Education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i has said parents will have to pay for destruction of property caused by the rioting students following the recently reported school unrest. Speaking in an interview at a local media on Tuesday night, Matiang'i asked parents to take responsibility and be good examples to their children. Nyamache Boys High School in Kisii County, Kericho High and Tengecha High in Kericho County, Kaplong Boys, K.Salat Secondary School and Longisa High in Bomet County are some of the schools that have been involved in the recent unrest. The CS also said students involved in school strikes will not be admitted in other schools. These students need to be taught alternative methods of handling any concerns," said Matiang'i.
