Police were called after parents forced the board meeting to be halted on Tuesday. Police were called in to deal with irate parents who disrupted a Catholic school board meeting north of Toronto earlier this week over the issue of LGBTQ «safe spaces». The parents attended the York Catholic District School Board (YCDSB) meeting in Aurora on Tuesday evening to protest the use of “safe space” stickers by some teachers to signal acceptance of LGBTQ children and teens, cbc.ca reports.
