The parents of slain Christchurch teenager Connor Whitehead will speak publicly this afternoon. He also thanked emergency staff, police officers and police dogs for all they had done. Last night, police charged a 32-year-old man with Whitehead's murder. The arrest came just hours after Whitehead's parents spoke to the media where they pleaded for the man to turn himself in. Police confirmed just before 9pm that a 43-year-old man had been charged with murder and will appear in court tomorrow.
