The mom, together with local advocacy group Parents of Black Children, held a news conference Tuesday to outline the allegations. The Parents of Black Children praised the Toronto board for its swift action. According to Bird, it removes staff from a work location to allow time to fully understand what has occurred. Spokesperson Bird said this is not accurate and no further staff have been put on home assignment.
