KUALA LUMPUR: The Pardons Board Committee chaired by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Sultan Muhammad V is expected to convene Wednesday with regard to the much talked about pardon of PKR de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. PKR political bureau member R. Sivarasa said the meeting would take place at 11am. Pic by MOHD KHAIRUL HELMY MOHD DIN“Deputy Prime Minister-designate Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail has also just spoken to the Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad in respect of this matter. “The Prime Minister has given his assurance that the meeting of the Pardons Board will proceed as scheduled.”It was earlier reported that the meeting be held tomorrow at 11am. However Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad in a press conference last week said Sultan Muhammad V has consented to grant Anwar a full and immediate pardon.
