KOTA KINABALU: A man was hurt following a paragliding accident in Ranau on Monday (Feb 10). The 25-year-old victim, Didi Alwin, had apparently lost control of his equipment due to strong winds prior to the 2.30pm crash. He fell from about 120m above sea level and landed at a hilly forest patch after taking off from the Ranau Sports Complex. Sabah Fire and Rescue Department operations chief Khatizah Rahaban said firemen received a call about the incident at about 2.33pm. She said Didi suffered injuries to his ribs and chest area.
