THE Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) is 91.54-percent complete and is set to be inaugurated next month, the Department of Transportation said on Wednesday. The PITX is designed to resemble an airport terminal and will have multilevel platforms, passenger terminal buildings, loading and unloading bays, staging bays, ticketing and baggage handling facilities and park-ride facilities. It will also be equipped with an Online Bus Ticketing System, which is expected to facilitate a faster commuting experience, as well as Wi-Fi and charging ports. “This terminal is strategically located to reduce the number of provincial buses, particularly from Cavite and Batangas, plying EDSA, Baclaran and Taft Avenue and can accommodate 200,000 passengers daily,” the transportation department said in a statement. PITX is a public-private partnership project of the transportation department and Megawide Construction Corp and WM Property Management Inc.
