A fire which hit a commercial building in Parañaque was finally put under control after almost eight hours on Tuesday. Firefighters contained the blaze that swept through the Ed and Jo Building on Quirino Avenue in Baclaran as of 6 p.m., according to the Parañaque Bureau of Fire Protection. ADVERTISEMENTAt least 30 units in the building, which is owned by a certain Richard Jose, were destroyed by the fire that reached fifth alarm. According to Parañaque BFP, no one was reported hurt, although two fire volunteers have complained of difficulty in breathing while battling the fire. Investigators said the fire allegedly started at a printing store on the ground floor of the building.
