An impeachment trial against Vice President Leni Robredo and Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno will only be a waste of time for the Senate, Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan said on Wednesday. “It will be a waste of our time in the Senate. Sasayangin lang ang oras namin sa Senado,” Pangilinan, the president of the Liberal Party, said in a text message. The senator was reacting to House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez’ statement that he was collecting evidence to build possible impeachment cases against Robredo and Sereno.
