Abdul Kalam Technological University that probed the complaints and allegations raised by students of the TOMS College of Engineering, Mattakkara, is understood to have recommended that the affiliation given to the college be withdrawn. The report of the committee would be discussed at a meeting of the KTU executive committee scheduled to meet on Thursday morning. Padmakumar which had earlier investigated the same complaints and had called for withdrawal of affiliation to the college. Since a majority of students at the TOMS college are in the chemical engineering branch, they could only be shifted to a college that offered the branch. The findings of the two committees had turned the spotlight on the faulty manner in which the KTU gave affiliation to the college.
