Presidential Spokesman Salvador Panelo said Ressa should just face the case filed against her, and stop blaming the government for her legal predicament. Panelo however argued that the rule of law has been observed in the case of Ressa. “Rappler and Maria Ressa are the walking examples of the observance of the freedom of expression and of the press in this country,” he said.
