RTHK review panel head, Eugene Chan, says they will discuss serious warnings, editorial principles and program quality. The board of advisers appointed to review RTHK’s governance has met the Director of Broadcasting, Leung Ka-wing, and the broadcaster's senior management today to discuss warnings issued by the government and other related issues, RTHK reports. Speaking ahead of their first such meeting, Eugene Chan, chairman of the board, said they will discuss serious warnings issued by the Communications Authority, referring to the regulator’s ruling that some programs that poked fun of or criticised the police force have breached the TV program code of practice. He said other items on the agenda include editorial principles and program quality. The review team will report to the permanent secretary for the Commerce and Economic Development Bureau (CEDB).
