In all, 4.9 lakh candidates are expected to appear for the screening test for panchayat secretary (Grade IV) post under Group III services across the State on Sunday. In a release, the APPSC said that 4,95,526 candidates applied for the test. More than 60,000 candidates each were expected to appear for the test from Visakhapatnam and East Godavari districts. APPSC secretary A. K. Maurya said all arrangements were made for conducting the examination, which would begin at 10 a.m. Candidates would be allowed into the examination hall between 9 a.m. and 9.30 a.m., and up to 9.45 a.m. in special cases.
