Panasonic India on Monday launched a new smartphone “Eluga Tapp” with a faster front fingerprint scanner at Rs 8,990. “The fast front fingerprint sensor in ‘Eluga Tapp’ gives you a convenient way to unlock your device and secure your personal data. The scanner will be able to recognise your fingers and thumbs in a split second,” said Pankaj Rana, Business Head-Mobility Division, Panasonic India in a statement. The phone also comes with an add-on security feature “Android for Work” that allows users to segregate the business apps from personal apps and protect personal data. “By introducing Panasonic Eluga Tapp we plan to make a presence in the tier II and tier III cities,” Rana added.
