SEMATAN: The construction of the Sarawak stretch of the Pan Borneo Highway recorded a milestone when the multi-billion ringgit project clocked 10 million man hours without Lost Time Injury (LTI) since October 2015. Lebuhraya Borneo Utara Sdn Bhd (LBU) chief executive officer Safuani Abdul Hamid said six out of the 11 work packages achieved one million man hours without LTI each, which contributed to the overall achievement. LBU is the project delivery partner for Pan Borneo Highway Sarawak. “I advise the Pan Borneo Highway contractors to implement proper traffic management as your job is not only to complete the construction on time, but also to ensure road safety,” he said. Safri together with Safuani later launched Pan Borneo Highway Sarawak’s HSET road safety campaign to promote safe driving among road users.
