Palo Mayor Mayor Remedios “Matin” Petilla said her town has recovered from the onslaught of super typhoon Yolanda and now more than ready to accept investors. “Our economy at present is on the upswing and our business conditions are more conducive to profitability, wwith lower taxes and less re tape, ” Petilla said. Palo is also a candidate to become the capital town of this province becauseTacloban City, the present seat of government of this province is no longer under the administrative jurisdiction of this province. Another advantage is the town’s proximity to the nerve center of Eastern Visayas which is Tacloban City.
