Palmerston North's CET Arena changes shape behind the fences

The new speedway pits pads at Palmerston North’s CET Arena are being laid. Behind the fences shielding the Cuba St frontage of the CET Arena from view, the $17.1 million makeover of the pedestrian entrance and speedway pits is starting to rise above ground. “We’re above ground now and the whole thing will really start coming together.”Warwick Smith/Stuff Venues and events manager John Lynch explains the shape of things to come at the CET Arena. For public events from that time, the new entrance area will be fenced off, with the bridge expected to be lifted into position in November and a completion target of March. Warwick Smith/Stuff Toilets for 100 will be housed under the base for the future CET Arena south stand.
