Palmerston North music venue and recording studio The Stomach has received a cash injection to help it recover from the coronavirus crisis and to fund new equipment. It has received $32,000 from the Government’s Music Venue Infrastructure Fund. The Stomach manager Harry Lilley said it was a great outcome for local music venues and the local music scene. The Stomach’s annual local music festival SwampFest started on Friday, which this year features more than 20 bands. “It’s an opportunity for local music, no matter what genre."
