Palmerston North home burns in late night blazeSIMON MAUDE/FAIRFAX NZ Firefighters managed to contain the fire downstairs at the two story Highbury home. A two-storey Palmerston North home was fully ablaze late on Saturday night after it caught fire just before 11:40pm. The Palmerston North Fire Brigade was called to a house on Pembroke St, next to the Pembroke Reserve. Everyone in the house managed to escape the blaze uninjured. Dally said fire investigators returned to the scene on Sunday morning to determine what started the fire.
