Losing a child must be the most difficult thing for any parent to experience, and is unimaginable to those who have not been through it. The sad fact is that 5,000 children lose their lives every year, leaving thousands of grieving parents and families. Those of us who have not experienced such loss cannot know how this feels, but as members of the all party parliamentary group for children who need palliative care, we want to use our Westminster Hall debate to push the government to ensure support is given to those who need it after such a tragic loss.
