German foreign minister stressed over the need for dialogue to de-escalated tension between Indian and PakistanGerman Foreign Minister Heiko Maas on Tuesday lauded Pakistan’s commitment to the Afghan peace process. He stated that Pakistan’s role was pivotal in Afghan peace process, adding that Germany was satisfied over the dialogue. The foreign minister said that there are excellent investment opportunities in Pakistan and vowed that Germany will extend co-operation with Pakistan in various sectors, including the economy. Addressing a joint presser with his German counterpart, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi apprised the media that Pakistan had long promoted dialogue in the war-torn region. Responding to this, the German foreign minister stressed that there should be dialogue for de-escalating tension between Indian and Pakistan over the Kashmir dispute.
