The firing and the exchange of fire between the Indian and the Pakistani side lasted for about four hours. In yet another incident of ceasefire violation, Pakistani forces resorted to heavy firing and shelling in Poonch District along the LoC and Kathua district in Jammu and Kashmir Wednesday night. "Detailed checking revealed that the firing at International Border in Kathua was an attempted forced infiltration bid by a group of six terrorists, foiled," Border Security Force (BSF) official said. The Pakistani forces also started unprovoked firing on Indian posts in Bobiya area of Hirangar sector along the International Border in Kathua around 11:30 pm on Wednesday. The troops guarding the borderline retaliated the firing and the exchange of fire lasted for about four hours.
