ISLAMABAD: Pakistan will facilitate Uzbekistan in gaining access to the seaports of Gwadar and Karachi in a bid to enhance regional connectivity and trade. The prime minister fondly recalled his interactions with President Mirziyoyev in Beijing and Bishkek, reiterating his invitation to the Uzbek president to visit Pakistan. He particularly emphasised that enhanced trade and regional connectivity were the cornerstones of economic growth and development. The prime minister thanked him for the invitation and mentioned that he was looking forward to visiting Uzbekistan. It may be mentioned here that Pakistan and Uzbekistan are closely cooperating to enhance regional connectivity, especially by early construction of the Trans-Afghan Railway Project between Pakistan, Afghanistan and Uzbekistan.
