Our BureauCalcutta: Australia's undefeated run in the trans-Tasman T20I series helped them draw level with Pakistan at the top of the ICC T20I rankings. However, Pakistan remain the No.1 team, ahead on decimal points. But when decimal points are taken into account, Australia finish on 125.65 points, 0.19 points behind Pakistan who aggregate 125.84 points, the ICC said in a media release. According to a report in cricket.com.au, "an ICC spokesperson last week stated that if Australia went through the tri-series undefeated, the Aussies would edge ahead of Pakistan and be crowned world No.1". But on Wednesday, the ICC clarified that the initial calculation was a clerical error and thus Pakistan retained the top spot on decimal points.
