PUTRAJAYA: Pakistan is ready to import more palm oil from Malaysia, which is seeking other markets following controls imposed by India on refined palm oil imports. "Pakistan is quite ready to import more palm oil from Malaysia," he said at a joint press conference with Imran on Tuesday (Jan 4). This was echoed by Imran, who said Pakistan would try its best to compensate after India threatened to cut palm oil imports. "We notice that India threatened Malaysia for supporting the Kashmir cause and threatened to cut palm oil imports. India's directorate-general of foreign trade had announced restrictions on the import of refined palm oil and palm olein where importers would now be required to apply for licences.
