Pakistan calls senior Indian diplomat over ceasefire violations along LoC
India has committed 940 ceasefire violations in 2020Pakistan on Saturday summoned a senior Indian diplomat to register a ‘strong protest’ over ceasefire violations by Indian troops along the Line of Control (LoC) in Hajipi and Sankh sectors on May 1, resulting in serious injuries to an innocent civilian. In 2020, India has committed 940 ceasefire violations. Targetting innocent civilians along the LoC is a clear violation of the 2003 ceasefire understanding. Indian attempts to escalate the situation along the LoC and Working Boundary (WB) is a threat to regional peace and security. The Indian diplomat was called to respect the 2003 agreement and investigate this incident, as well as other such incidents.
