ISLAMABAD – In a move to bolster bilateral relations, the High Commissioner of Rwanda to Pakistan, Ambassador Haririmana Fatou, paid a courtesy call on the Minister of State for Federal Education and Professional Training, Ms. Wajiha Qamar, today. Central to the discussions was the shared commitment to strengthening cooperation in high-growth sectors, including Information Technology (IT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and skills development. Minister Wajiha Qamar highlighted Pakistan’s ongoing initiatives in vocational training, noting that a partnership with Rwanda could lead to significant breakthroughs in teacher training and the health sector, particularly in the field of nursing. Both leaders reaffirmed their resolve to treat female education as a foundational pillar for inclusive and sustainable development. They agreed that empowering young women through specialized training and academic opportunities is essential for the economic stability of both nations.
