Pakistan: India carries out over 3,000 ceasefire violations this year

In 2020, the Indian forces have carried out 3,003 ceasefire violations to date, resulting in 27 deaths and serious injuries to 250 innocent civilians, according to the statement. Pakistan and India declared a ceasefire along the LoC, the de facto border between both countries in the disputed Kashmir region and the working boundary in 2003. However, both sides routinely exchange fire and accuse each other of ceasefire violations. Pakistan downgraded its diplomatic relations, suspended trade relations and train service with India in response. Pakistan also urged the United Nations to initiate a transparent investigation into the UN vehicle hit incident.
