Pakistan: In a major blast in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Bajaur district near a police van, 5 police officials have lost their lives while 22 others are injured and have been taken for medical treatment. Out of the 22 wounded, 10 were found to be seriously injured and have been referred to Peshawar medical facility. Militant outfit Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has claimed responsibility for the blast that took place on Monday. They see them as a potential threat and this time as well they have claimed responsibility for the blast. Hence it won’t be wrong if it’s understood that the polio vaccination drive was the reason behind this attack.
