Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif was speaking at the inaugural session of Pakistan-Turkiye-Azerbaijan Trilateral Summit held on the sidelines of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit in Astana, Kazakhstan. The Summit was attended by Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, President of Turkiye, H.E. https://x.com/GovtofPakistan/status/1808558040112664786The Prime Minister proposed to establish tripartite institutional mechanisms particularly in economic and investment areas to further strengthen Pakistan-Turkiye-Azerbaijan trilateral economic and commercial cooperation. It stated that President Rahmon welcomed Pakistani entrepreneurs and the business community to contribute to the countries’ bilateral economic ties by investing in free economic zones of Tajikistan. Emphasising the importance of regional ties in the South and Central Asian region, the prime minister suggested that Pakistan host a regional connectivity summit to provide trade corridors to Central Asian countries and promote regional trade.
