Pairin urges filmmakers to highlight Sabah's indigenous cultures in films


KOTA KINABALU: Kadazandusun Cultural Association (KDCA) is calling for local filmmakers to come up with quality and informative movies or documentaries as a way to keep the state's indigenious culture alive. "We have worked with Siung Film Productions to create a film based on the Kadazandusun legendary story of Huminodun. Pairin, who is also KDCA president, was speaking to reporters at the launching of the first Kadazandusun language film - Huminodun - at Imago Shopping Mall here, today. Pairin said the film industry is developing fast and dovetailing into the fourth industrial revolution. In his speech, Musa noted the Huminodun film as an important step in ensuring the preservation of Sabah's unique cultural heritage.
