Police have released the names of the two people who died in crash near Lake Tekapo on Monday. Stephen John Hayden (46), from Australia, and Nigel Stuart Freeman (72), from Twizel died in a two-car crash on State Highway 8 between Hayman and Tekapo Canal Rds. A third person was involved in the crash and taken to Timaru Hospital with moderate injuries. Police's thoughts are with the family and friends of Mr Hayden and Mr Freeman.
