(Composite photo)A couple were paid to care for four vulnerable children in the care of Oranga Tamariki but instead used repeated violence. The Luxtons, both aged 54, worked for The Dingwall Trust, which is employed by Oranga Tamariki to provide caregivers. The Trust has provided caregivers to Oranga Tamariki and its predecessor Child, Youth and Family since 2001. Stuff asked Oranga Tamariki how the children were allowed to remain three years with the couple, despite the violence.
