Police have arrested and charged two people who were allegedly found in a stolen vehicle in east Auckland. Counties Manukau East Police area prevention manager, Inspector Rakana Cook, says the pair were located in the car park of a Botany supermarket on July 11. “The vehicle was observed travelling along Te Irirangi Drive toward Botany, where it was seen entering the supermarket’s car park. “Several police units were quickly on scene and blocked the vehicle in, bringing it to a stop. “The 31-year-old man and woman were quickly taken into custody by our staff without further incident.”Cook says enquiries into the stolen vehicle are ongoing.
