Yee owned and operated Pagoda Court restaurant for about 20 years. Derek Sutton Yee, who owned the Pagoda Court Chinese restaurant on the corner of Colombo and Cashel streets, made transactions involving 177 kilograms of paua and 147.5kg of crayfish. Yee sold 147.5kg of blackmarket crayfish to Daphne's Restaurant in Upper Riccarton in early 2015. Four times when Peter Keith Wah bought paua, Yee transported it to his home in his courier van and sold some to another man.
