(Pagcor) to comply with government regulations and pay proper taxes amid reports that the industry has become a conduit for undocumented workers from China. Tria also urged POGOs not to hesitate to approach Pagcor should they need clarification. POGOs are a burgeoning industry, with Pagcor data showing their operations generated P657 million in 2016, P3.924 billion in 2017 and P7.365 billion in 2018. But the Department of Finance (DoF) said the government is losing about P22 billion annually from uncollected POGO worker income taxes. Guballa said Pagcor has so far submitted a list of 126 out of 205 POGOs, which employ a total of 53,239 foreign workers with an average salary of about P41,000 each.
