Tropical cyclone warning signals were lowered in Luzon as “Rosita,” internationally known as “Yutu,” moved out of landmass on Tuesday night, according to the bulletin issued at 11:00 p.m. by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Administration (Pagasa). With “Rosita” downgraded to a tropical storm, only Signal No. 1 remained hoisted over five Norther Luzon provinces — Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Benguet, Zambales and Pangasinan. As of 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, the center of the storm was estimated to be at 195 km west-northwest of Dagupan City, Pangasinan. The storm is expected to exit the Philippine area of responsbility on Wednesday, sometime between late afternoon and evening.
