Pag-IBIG orders 6-month moratorium on loan fee for members in Marawi


The state-owned Home Development Mutual Fund (HDMF or Pag-IBIG Fund) has declared a six month-moratorium on all types of loan payments for its members in Marawi City, said its Chief Executive Officer Acmad Rizaldy on Saturday. The order was approved during a board meeting on July 6 chaired by Cabinet Secretary and Pag-IBIG Chairman Leoncio “Jun” Evasco Jr.Aside from the moratorium on the payment of loans, Rizaldy said Pag-IBIG also imposed a moratorium on remittances of members’ contributions in Marawi. ADVERTISEMENTRizaldy said P1-million worth of relief packages, which consists of “malongs” and hygiene kits among others, would be given to the evacuees. He said Pag-IBIG also allocated a P3-billion Home Rehab and Reconstruction Loan Packagefor the victims of the siege in Marawi.
