A paedophile who sent 'utterly depraved' messages planning to rape children as young as six has been jailed for life after a slew of child sex offences. Edward Gratwick, 68, was arrested at Stansted Airport, where he attempted to board a flight to Romania in March, the National Crime Agency (NCA) said. And when officers took the paedophile into custody, they discovered items they believe he was planning to use to abuse children. She described one group of messages sent by Gratwick as 'the stuff of nightmares' and 'utterly depraved'. He was also found not guilty of one count of arranging or facilitating the commission of a child sex offence.
