The online retail giant set to rent about 650,000 sq ft (60,000 sq m) of warehouse space at the industrial complex close to Baldonnell airfield. The move would be Amazon’s first fulfillment centre in Ireland and is well timed to take advantage of a consumer shift to digital shopping as restrictions to control the spread of Covid-19 stay in force. Amazon declined to comment on the move yesterday and the source asked not to be named as the information is private.
