The dividend is worth VNĐ70 billion (US$3.1 million) as the company will pay VNĐ1,400 for each of its shares. Following the announcement, PVC closed up 0.9 per cent yesterday with more than 570,000 shares in trading after a two-day decline of 5 per cent. At the end of August, the northern stock exchange added PVC to the list of stocks that are not qualified for margin trading due to the company’s first-half losses.
