India's PV Sindhu has won her maiden BWF World Tour Finals. Sindhu defeated Nozomi Okuhara of Japan in the women's singles final of the ongoing 2018 World Tour Finals event on Sunday. Sindhu, ranked world number six, had been without a title throughout the calendar year in spite of appearing in five finals- including the World Championships, the Commonwealth Games and the Asian Games. However, she broke the jinx on Sunday as she defeted Okuhara, ranked world number five, in straight games 21-19 21-17
