MANILA, Philippines — Trains and public utility vehicles (PUVs) are prepared to serve passengers again as the National Capital Region (NCR) shifts to the less strict general community quarantine on Aug. 19, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) said Tuesday. Here is a list of the train lines and PUVs that will resume operations during GCQ:ADVERTISEMENTThe Metro Rail Transit-3 (MRT-3) line is ready to dispatch 16 Czech-built train sets and two China-built Dalian train sets on a daily basis. Light Rail Transit-1 (LRT-1) is prepared to dispatch on weekdays 24 train sets for the morning peak hours, 18 train sets for the off-peak hours, and 24 train sets during the afternoon peak hours. The Light Rail Transit 2 (LRT Line 2) will be deploying 5 trains sets daily. Philippine National Railways (PNR) is ready to deploy 10 train sets on a daily basis.
