PEKAN: In efforts to encourage parents to set up education savings for their children, 3,163 Year One pupils from 55 primary schools here received a contribution of RM316,300 in National Education Savings Scheme (SSPN-i) account deposits. “To encourage more people to save, PTPTN also offers lucky draws to depositors who open or top up their savings in their SSPN-i Plus accounts, through the ‘Cabutan Wow! 20 Tahun PTPTN’ which offers more than 2,500 prizes worth RM500,000,” he said at the “Umno Bantu Rakyat 2.0” programme today. Meanwhile, 47-year old mother S. Kulamani praised PTPTN’s initiative to introduce SSPN-i and SSPN-i Plus as it allows parents to save for their children's education and future. “I am grateful for the scheme and grant incentive which will certainly aid parents whose children are in primary school,” Kulamani said.
