–NAB says investigating illegal allotments after PTI’s Shafqat Mehmood accuses JUI-F chief of acquiring 600 kanals of martyrs’ land illegallyISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Tuesday stated that the anti-corruption watchdog is investigating illegal allotment of martyrs’ land in Dera Ismail Khan, after Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shafqat Mehmood alleged that the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) Maulana Fazlur Rehman acquired 600 kanals land illegally during the Musharraf era. In a press release, the NAB said legal action will be taken against the suspects involved in the case. Earlier in the day, PTI’s Shafqat Mehmood alleged that Fazlur Rehman was illegally allotted 600 kanals in DI Khan during Musharraf regime. The PTI leader said that Fazlur Rehman got the seat of the Kashmir Committee chairman only to gain perks and privileges. Shafqat Mehmood also alleged that the former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister Akram Durrani misused his authority.
