PHOTO: EXPRESS/FILEPakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Gilgit-Baltistan (G-B) chapter president justice retired Syed Jafar Shah died from Covid-19 in Islamabad on Saturday. According to political analysts, the 70-year old former judge of G-B supreme appellate court was the high potential candidate for next chief minister of G-B among other party members if the PTI won the upcoming elections in the region. He was contesting elections on PTI ticket from the constituency of (GBA Gilgit-3). Shah had joined the PTI four years back after quitting Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) after developing differences with local party leadership.
